Galle on the southern coast of Sri Lanka is famous for its world heritage - The Dutch Fort, first built by the Portuguese and then consolidated by the Dutch. Many archaeological sites and buildings inside the fort impress the tourists greatly. Though it’s known as Dutch, it is a blend of both Dutch and Sri Lankan. The beautiful coast line on either side of Galle lures visiting beach lovers to the city of Galle.
